Review of The Lincoln Lawyer (2011) by Aditya M — 15 Aug 2015
The film leaves too little to the imagination, insisting on hurried and secretive flashback scenes whenever any of its characters starts to recount What Could or Did Happen That Night. It would have been a far more effective courtroom thriller if it allowed the audience to re-enact the events of the aforementioned night in their minds, much as a jury would.
That being said, the movie does manage to keep you guessing, is never boring and is well acted by a very likeable cast. That's much more than most thrillers ever achieve.
