Review of The Limits of Control (2009) by Jeremy H — 07 Nov 2009
Jarmusch uninhibited. Essentially, this is his "Tideland". Many will hate it, and it's completely understandable. He takes his craft of minimalism and elevates it to purity in what you could call and "anti-thriller".
The atmosphere of the pristine camera work and noise/doom soundtrack might click, and it might not. Too self-indulgent, too long, and trying way too hard. Yet, I enjoyed the film for what it was.
