Review of The Limits of Control (2009) by Calvin C — 24 Apr 2010
Jim Jarmusch is an indie director and I get what he's trying to do, but does he have to make it drag almost to the point of being pointless? The main character hardly speaks and the people he meets sit down and explain their thoughts on life and the universe for no apparent reason as to sound philosophical. Beautifully shot, but without a clear narrative or direction, this supposed hitman movie misses the mark.
Grade: C.
