Review of The Limits of Control (2009) by Martin S — 19 Sep 2010
Crisp, poetic dialogue delivered spot on by an all-star cast draws you in but doesn't let you in enough to what is really going. Sometimes an effective film for all that isn't going on, but other times ineffective for the frustration that causes.
Jarmusch chose to omit his standard touches of dark humor, which this film sorely needed to put it over the top. The potential for greatest was there, but this one was a miss.
