Review of The Limehouse Golem (2016) by Rikki L — 15 Dec 2017

This was serviceable at best. It's mostly unmemorable, not gleeful OR dark enough to pull off the gore, and so paint-by-numbers that one can't help but notice who the filmmakers obviously wished they could cast (hint - it's not who ended up in the movie).

But there are two good reasons to watch it. 1) Bill Nighy endowing it with more dignity than it deserves, and [SPOILERS!!!!!] 2) a scene in which Karl Marx decapitates a sex worker, which nearly made me piss myself.
