While performances from Fassbender and Vikander are good, Cianfrance's film is disjointed and confusing at best. One moment you're happy for a couple burgeoning relationship, and the next detectives are involved.
..Rachel Weisz's character is an absolute conundrum throughout the story. I'd much rather have watched a simple romance movie with Vikander/Fassbender at the helm instead of this jumble of confusion.
