Review of The Lifeguard (2013) by Eric B — 17 Nov 2013
The Lifeguard was a surprisingly honest and intoxicating film. The nostalgic aspect was so spot on I could literally feel it through the screen. Seeing mostly negative reviews makes me assume the only way to deeply enjoy this film is to be a "young female adult" in your mid to late 20's who is experiencing wanting to escape the sometimes sad reality of life and go back to the carefree times of teenage living and love.
The romance in the film was exciting and fresh while being on the edge of taboo. I found a new love for Kristen Bell after the film as well as a new love for my nostalgia.
