Review of The Life of Emile Zola (1937) by Michaela B — 11 Jan 2008
Quite amazing. Despite being made 70 years ago, I think this movie is so relevant and should be screened today. The acting was great, the plot held me riveted. In fact, I only wish the movie had been more about Dreyfus and less about Emile Zola.
Without the first twenty minutes, this would have been a much stronger movie. Still, this is an amazing movie I will probably force my children to watch someday.
