Review of The Life Before Her Eyes (2007) by Sean S — 07 Mar 2010
Visually beautiful with a lot of attention and time spent on nature and making seemingly average things glow with beauty. The editing and narrative are also very intruiguing with the story jumping back and forth from before the tagic incident to Uma Thurman dealing with it on the 15th anniversairry.
The acting is good, nothing special but everyone is believable in their roles. One of the huge dissapointments is that the costumes for the flashback sequences were very modern and seemingly not thought about too much and the dialogue at times was also modern which brings up the question, did all the time go into the visuals rather than detail to characters? And even though the script was strong the ending was a dissapointment and it wasnt as a whole gripping enough for what it was trying.
