I wouldn't say this is a movie to watch for sheer enjoyment. It's a masterfully made movie, with elaborate and accurate costumes and sets. It's an intimate look at the wild life of the Second Earl of Rochester and Depp pulls it off well.
Prepare yourself for some painful moments, especially towards the end.
