Review of The Libertine (2004) by Alice S — 04 Apr 2010
While its direction and cast is excellent some of its most dramatic moments fall flat due to bad execution. I respect the movie for its dark turns but its sudden changes in tone make the movie feel schizophrenic.
The movie changes tones at the drop of a hat and that messes up the pacing. All in all, its a dark story with great acting, but its let down by execution.
