Review of The Libertine (2004) by Ippei K — 02 Jan 2012
Never thought I'd say this about a Johnny Depp film but this is pretty awful. It certainly does nothing to change my dislike for period-dramas. It's one of those films that will make you keep checking the time.
Johnny is as amazing in his "transformation" into the role as always but there's so much you can put into a character, when the character or story doesn't give you much.
