Review of The Letter (1940) by Leland P — 15 Sep 2007
Bette Davis Bette Davis Bette Davis! She, as always, delivers a performance to remember! I'm a sucker for murder/redemption films, but for me, a big drawback in The Letter was how the Production Code Administration forced the changes in the ending.
The final moments of the film seem so out of place and obligatory that it dampens my experience of the film as a whole.
