Review of The Leopard (1963) by Arianna B — 03 Jan 2010
I really enjoyed the movie, despite its length and its slow tempo.
The fighting scenes are a bit silly, but the scenes instead in the palace when everyone is dancing are marvellous.
All actors do a great job, even though Angelica is biting her lips too many times (why that!?!??!) and laughing hysterically - which probably suited the character.
Combined with the book is surely a great opportunity to understand Sicilian mentality and to get some glimpse of italian history for the unification.
