Review of The Leopard (1963) by Phillip R — 24 Jun 2009
An italian epic set during a transitional period of the government. The movie focuses on a particular aristocratic family, the head of which is a prince played by Burt Lancaster. The movie focuses on the how the prince deals with the changing views of not only the country, but the ideals of the younger generation in his own family.
The main thing that kept me from liking this movie more was the three hours of reading subtitles. I did like seeing Terrence Hill speaking in his native language and not overdubbed for the first time.
