Review of The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017) by Patrick L — 20 Oct 2017
Not as good as the previous 2 outings, but still fun nonetheless. A bit preachy, with overly-simplified and obvious lessons. But plenty of cultural references and belly laughs for adults, and entertaining for the kids.
Music by Mark Mothersbaugh is once again great. And I like that the story is told though the eyes of someone's imagination, and grounded with real-world elements, like The Lego Movie, and not just a movie which uses Legos as tangential as with Lego Batman.
