The Lego movie isn't just good, it's surprisingly good. The animation is phenomenal, in which the film makers tried to make everything in this creative universe look like a Lego brick. It makes for a very entertaining movie, that has humor for younger kids and the general audience, and it works so well.
The movie is fast paced and exciting, as well as creative and thoughtful. I thought this would be the king of product placement in film, but it's so much smarter than that. It creates an imaginative world and some emotional moments.
Maybe it runs a bit too long, but this is a movie not to be missed. The LEGO Movie gets 4/5 stars (B+).
