Review of The Lego Movie (2014) by Jason Z — 24 Jan 2017

This movie really surprised me by being an actual movie! I was worried that it would be just another kid's movie that is just annoying and loud and doesn't even attempt to have a story because they know people will pay to see it regardless.

.. but that was not the case! This movie has a great story line, is funny and witty and it's just absolutely gorgeous all throughout! And the way that multiple worlds were represented and intertwined was really impressive.

There are a lot of famous actors involved but even if you ignore that the voice acting and characters are believable, relatable, hilarious and so freakin cute! There was also a lot of action and emotion which was so refreshing.

This movie had depth and really pulled me in when all I was expecting was bright colors and loud noises, which it also has! If you don't like this movie you're a mean bitter husk who needs to get over themselves and embrace cute happy things.

Everybody can and should watch this movie! Easily one of my all time favorites!
