Review of The Lego Batman Movie (2017) by Chuckamuck — 01 Mar 2017

This latest Lego feature is one for both Lego fanatics and people who have more respect for batman than for themselves. After watching this in a movie theater full of children, I can safely say most kids will love it.

Silly jokes, action and wonderful use of medium resulted in two hours of giggling, shrieking and awe from the younger audience members. But this film is for parents too, there are a good few secret grown up jokes and plenty of references to past Batman films, comics and tv shows for you.

I'll admit, I was worried that most of the film's better moments would have been spent in the trailers, but thankfully this was not the case. The overall story of the film was entertaining and there was a good amount of emotion and character development to make it worthwhile.

The voice acting is superb, the casting choices were very well made and it's fun to see return performances from some characters from Lego Movie. It's a fun film that will pick you up, have you laughing and leave you in a great mood.
