One of the funniest animations I have ever seen. Well, it's more stop motion than animation. In fact the parts that look real animation looking are really just CGI. Really good CGI. According to Warner Bros. Pictures, there are a total of 3,863,484 unique Lego bricks seen in the movie. But if you were to recreate the entire film only using Legos, you'd need 15,080,330. Now that's a lot of bricks, and dedication to make this. So yes, if you hadn't already made the assumption, The LEGO Movie and this movie take place in the same universe with humans pulling the invisible strings. A world that will become more intricate as the next two films in this burgeoning cinematic universe, LEGO Batman 2 and LEGO Movie 2, get released. So far the LEGO cinematic universe consists of LEGO Ninjago, Batman, and the Movie. But don't worry nothing is needed to be watched to understand these films, expect from the prequels which this film doesn't have, yet. This stop motion picture is just as goofy and great as the last one (The LEGO Movie). By the way this isn't a film to take seriously. But to be a good critic, you have to criticize it as much as you can.

The thing I love about this franchise is the amount of stupid stuff they add into it. For example when they entered the phantom realm, you see King Kong, Voldemort, Daleks, Agent Smith from Matrix, Kraken, Bruce the Great White Shark from Jaws, Velociraptors and Rexy from Jurassic Park. And they used these characters so well. Will Arnett is incredible and deserves to be heard in many more animations. It might just be me but when he's in the suit he sounds like Christian Bale's Batman. I don't like Michael Cera's live-action work but his voice is perfect for animation. I liked the Robin that was picked, Dick Grayson - by the way Michael Cera played him. The villain would have looked better. The main villain was of course the Joker played by Zach Galifianakis. But I do wish that they went with Mark Hamill. I also liked that they referenced all the Batman movies and recreated the posters for each of them.

I loved the glare effect against the blocks especially in the phantom zone. Every other relevant superhero and Batman villain in DC was made an appearance. They were great and I loved how they portrayed how Batman was lonely. The beginning was awesome how the joker introduced the Batman villains. The comedy is gold and not one single joke made me not laugh.

Grade: A+.
