Review of The Legend of Hell House (1973) by Kevin C — 10 Oct 2007
The film is drenched in a thick and moody atmosphere that truly transmits a sense of omnibus and foreboding dread to the viewer, and the acting (especially by Roddy McDowall) is actually quite good, but the narrative is nothing more than a rehash of "The Haunting" with a ridiculous climax.
.. Still, the atmosphere itself warrants a viewing as it generates genuine suspense.
