Review of The Legend of Hell House (1973) by Ennis Brokeback L — 05 Jun 2014
"The Legend of Hell House" is a shining example of how a haunted house movie should be. It's minimal and sticks to what works, providing atmospheric visuals, a sexy and mysterious Pamela Franklin, eerie music, and a more interesting plot than most movies of its ilk.
It shares some similarities with "The Haunting" yet moves along faster and its ending isn't as inept. Fans of moody 70's horror and/or the haunted house sub-genre shouldn't be disappointed.
