Review of The Legend of Hell House (1973) by C K — 29 May 2007
This was part of the great wave of intelligent 70s horror films. I'm not a big fan of The Exorcist, but this one is smart and innovative. Richard Matheson's script powers this film to its brilliant conclusion where all is explained and nothing is what you expected.
Very smart. Good performances too. Creepy 70s electronic score adds to the atmosphere, though the music is dated today.
