Review of The Lazarus Effect (2015) by Brian S — 08 Jul 2018
The worst BlumHouse film I've seen. It's disappointing, because the acting is surprisingly strong for this type of movie and the two first acts are very entertaining. But it then spirals into a ridiculous supernatural mayhem, and is packed full of uninspired genre clichés.
And it also lacks explanation on what the fuck was going on near the end, which just left me baffled. It feels like an insulting rip off of Re-Animator (1985), but without actually being good. Not recommended.
