Review of The Lavender Hill Mob (1951) by Nia E — 02 Dec 2009
Challenging The Man in the White Suit as my favourite Ealing comedy, Alec Guinness yet again proves himself to be an utter genius, this time partnered with the equally superb Stanley Holloway. The pair make ridiculously loveable crooks, that it's easy to root for them, even when they're stealing from children.
Magnificent.
