Imagine the eeriness of the original version of "The Haunting" mixed with the fear and isolation of "The Thing" and you pretty much have "The Last Winter" - a simply stunning film based on tension, atmosphere and paranoia rather than gore, torture and nudity.....
Fessenden thinks big on a small scale, much like Carpenter used to. I can't wait to see where he goes next.
