Review of The Last Winter (2006) by Dan V — 01 Apr 2018
Fessenden has crafted a horror film that relies on the setting and atmosphere to create all the tension. The film is quite intent on playing it out slowly and not providing much in the way of a explanation.
The cast is great and the horror elements are unsettling but the pacing is way too slow. The film has that open ended conclusion that is quite over the top and never gives you any closure which is a shame.
The film works best when it is at the station and once they move away the tension falls apart. 31-03-2018.
