Review of The Last Unicorn (1982) by Darren B — 04 May 2012
Yes, it's a children's movie. I remember first reading the book when I was in school and fell in love with the magical tale. This film adaption is, hands down, the most accurate book to film crossover ever! What I love most about 'The Last Unicorn' is how the tale never grows stale.
It is just as entertaining, and relevant, today as it was the first time. I also love the fact that adults and children can enjoy the film for what it is, not because of gimmicky comedy thrown in to appeal towards either/or.
Regardless if you have children or not, this is a 'MUST BUY'.
