Review of The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Jessica K — 19 Dec 2007
The story itself is truly incredible: an amazing look into the philosophical life of Jesus Christ. On top of that, the film making by Martin Scorsese is amazing. Very nice collaboration with Peter Gabriel for the score.
Really cool cinematography and innovative ways to portray different scenes. Innovative use of first-person narration, showing inner-struggle. Surreal scenes showing the messages of God. Innovative use of dreams that really intertwine reality with the thought process.
Excellent.
