Review of The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Heather D — 14 Aug 2008
Finally, a (fictitious) film that portrays Jesus as a human being instead of a divine being. Most Jesus films show him in a godly light, with no qualms about his fate at all. But Scorsese really played devil's advocate with this and earned some respect from me.
It's very well done. However, I will say that the cinematography borders on boring. There are very little creative camera shots going on. But other than that, it's a great film.
