Review of The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Arash A — 06 Feb 2010
Before the Passion of the Christ, there was the Last Temptation of Christ, which was the most controversial and MOST misunderstood film regarding Jesus.....basically think of story of Jesus combined with "It's a Wonderful Life".
....how Jesus would have been if he had not died at the Cross. This is bascially represents Je This Gives people a more human more approachable aspect regarding Jesus; it shows how much he had to struggle to restrain himself form the common human sins.
Even as a non-religious person, if find this film remarkable; Yes there are a few holes here and there and Harvey Kietel role as Judas kinda sucks lol, but still better than most films you'll find these days.
Great film by a great director. Also it has one of the Best Soundtracks ever by Peter Gabriel.
