So this movie came out in 1988, and was condemned by most Christian Churches as evil. Well I donâ??t think itâ??s evil. This film is a fictional take to the gospels, but it is not the gospels. It hits all of the right parts, adds a totally new story.
In the end Christ is God, and his message is the same in this film as it is in the scriptures. As a piece of entertainment this film is largely uncomfortable, but at the same time portrays the essence of the scriptures.
