Review of The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Stephen H — 21 Mar 2012
Scorsese may do crime films best, but he can also shed light on human frailties when he's given the chance. Pulling back to the curtain to reveal Jesus as a human struggling with doubts and emotions makes this film more real than any other "Passion" plays out there.
Controversial for making Jesus too much of a man (having him wanting a simple life of a father and husband), this film deserves to be seen before being judged.
