Review of The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Mitchell Y — 22 Jun 2012
I am a stone cold atheist, and still I claim it as one of Martin Scorsese's greatest (My 2nd Favorite Director), mainly because of how personal Scorsese made it. This film stands as one of the most gorgeous films ever made.
A performance that will not be forgotten from William Defoe. Not to mention being a challenging film that really makes you think about yourself and life/death, now I'm not saying that this has "converted me", because that couldn't be further from the truth.
I respect it as a film, and I am more than glad it was made.
