Review of The Last Station (2009) by Aaron C — 15 Jan 2010
Surprisingly enjoyable movie covering the last months of Tolstoy's life (& strife). Plummer & Mirren played the leads brilliantly, as did the shy idealistic McAvoy. It was strange to see all the wonderfully executed brit wit in the context of Russian literature, but after all, this is not a movie about idealogy, but love, between imperfect beings.
