Great acting from James McAvoy and Helen Mirren, as always, and I was surprised to find out Tolstoy was played by Christopher Plummer. He was good, too. No wonder there were some Oscar nominations. But honestly, it was kind of a dull movie, though I felt really bad for the countess.
