Review of The Last Station (2009) by Timothy R — 17 Apr 2010
Beautifully crafted film on the last days of Leo Tolstoy. Christopher Plummer is excellent as are all the cast. However, it always annoys me when I watch a film that is set in a particular country, in this case Russia, and the characters all have English accents.
It loses a lot of authenticity despite the fine acting performances.
