Review of The Last Picture Show (1971) by Kristen N — 22 May 2010
"I guess if it weren't for Sam I'd have just about missed it whatever it is." This movie is both funny and sad, much like the coming of age slice of life it's portraying. Set in a "blink and you miss it" Texas town in the 1950's, life revolves around seeing movies at the picture show.
The story involves the lives of some of the townsfolk who are all trying desparately, but in different ways, to find happiness.
