Review of The Last Picture Show (1971) by Chris S — 26 Nov 2013
After watching this film, you'd think that Americans only knew one sex position. A bunch of high school kids find life in their town dull, and to spice things up, they try to get themselves laid, go to Mexico, go get married just for fun, and do their best to get away from their godforsaken town.
It has its moments but the stale mood of the film's not for me. Only characters in this film I could care for are Jacy's mother and Ruth, the 40 year-old woman who finds herself in a relationship with an awkward teenage boy.
