Review of The Last of the Mohicans (1992) by Michael P — 23 Oct 2010
One of Michael Mann's best films. Taking place during the 'Seven Years War', when Great Britain and France battled over the control of the North American colonies, this story follows a group of Mohican natives while they journey to protect British Colonel's daughters.
This film is beautifully shot by Mann as he successfully captures a great amount of emotion on screen. Daniel Day-Lewis, along with the rest of the cast's brilliant acting, assists in capturing this emotion in this well executed portrayal of how brutal the war between Indian tribes and 'Gray Hairs' really was.
