The love story is darn right annoying. However, the film as a whole is beautiful, the two indian rivals are exelent, Danny Day Lewis is a perfect cast for an english boy adopted and raised by indians, the feel of colonial america is almost definitive for movies of the same genre, and the score will go down in history forever.
