Review of The Last Legion (2007) by Justin C — 28 Jul 2008
Not a bad movie by any stretch of the imagination, The Last Legion has a pretty impressive cast and a decent story.
Ben Kingsley works miracles with the role which he is given, and his performance alone is easily worth seeing the movie. Kevin McKidd plays an impressive villain as an evil Goth, responsible for the murder of Romulus' parents.
Most impressive, however, is Colin Firth in a role unlike any which I have seen him play: he is a tough, sword-swinging, horse-riding soldier-type. Beats his chick flicks, to say the least.
All in all, the supporting cast was well-rounded and they performed well considering what they were given. I don't think it would've been sellable without their efforts.
