Review of The Last Kiss (2006) by Matt R — 26 Jan 2009
Initially when I saw this film a few years ago, I was disappointed it wasn't more of an upbeat film, like Garden State, but still liked it. Having watched it again I really like this film even though it is a more dramatic/realistic look at people in their late 20s and their disfunctional relationships and lives.
The cast is great and Zach Braff has been one of my favorite actors since Garden State. Another cool thing about this film is that it takes place and some of it was filmed in Madison which adds another connection and realism to the film for me.
Also the soundtrack is pretty sweet, but not as good as Garden State's. Overall definitely a quality film, but not a happy or upbeat film, but still a great movie.
