Review of The Last Kiss (2006) by Roxanne O — 17 May 2010
Its like American Pie, only the frat boys have matured and are going through the drama that is being grown up. I've been a fan of Zach Braff's work since Scrubs. The guy is talented. This flick follows a group of 30-somethings all dealing with relationship drama, except their fears and troubles are very real and very relatable. Braff is growing bored with his relationship with his pregnant girlfriend, Casey Affleck hates his baby momma, Michael Weston has just had his heart decimated from his break-up with his girlfriend and can't let her go, and Eric Christian Olsen is just now realizing that an endless string of one night stands might not be living.
It was witty, subtly funny, and well, grown up. I hope Braff dishes out more flicks. He's good at it.
