Review of The Last Kiss (2006) by Sp ? — 14 May 2008
I have a bit of a bleh reaction to it. Zach Braff doesn't have a very big resume for movies but this is not his best. Definitely not comparable to Garden State but it's influence is evident with returning supporting actors returning from the film.
I try to keep in mind this was not Braff's brainchild. It was like this: little infedelity, some sex, partying, parents squabble, exchanges of "fuck you!," and a silence followed by one-liners by Braff.
The ending leaves us somewhat hanging but that's expected. A couple giggles hear and there but not the greatest film. I might trade this back in and send it back to Homer's 6.99 shelf.
