Review of The Last King of Scotland (2006) by Fábio De Carvalho P — 01 May 2011
Forest Whitaker gives one of the best performances of the past decade in this twisting political thriller. The film starts out naive and hopeful before blind-siding the audience with the brutal reality of life in a volatile third-world nation.
It's not necessarily uplifting but it is a creepy and effective glimpse into how real evil manifests and justifies itself.
