Review of The Last King of Scotland (2006) by Tom R — 03 Jan 2010
The highlight of the movie is Forest Whitaker's deceptively friendly, paranoid, and evil performance for which he deserved an Oscar. Even though you can tell The Last King of Scotland is fictional, the story was gripping and thrilling, especially in the third act.
It reminded me of a lot of the movies Lord of War and The Constant Gardener with a little more emphasis on drama than action. Good direction and acting all around.
