Review of The Last King of Scotland (2006) by Grant T — 22 Jul 2017
Very good movie about the infamous dictator of Uganda, Idi Amin. Forrest Whittaker does a great job of portraying him. It's actually a fictionalized account but it's based on actual historical incidents.
I remember best the hijacking of the Israeli airliner from watching news reports back when it actually happened. James McAvoy of X-Men fame plays Amin's doctor. His character is actually a composite of several people.
The story centers around him and his relationship with Amin.
