Review of The Last King of Scotland (2006) by Jayden C — 29 Jun 2010
What carries this film is the strength of Forest Whitakers performance, as he shifts from being charismatic and down-to-earth to irrational and down right nasty. Dr Garrigan on the other hand starts off the film as a naive condecending little know it all to a helpless moron! I feel the character was far too stupid and unlikeable to be considered beleivable.
The way he is willing to get involved with married women and blindly finds himself advising a dictatorship, then going on to have unprotected sex with the dictators wife......what a confounded fool.
