Review of The Last House on the Left (2009) by Francis T — 14 Aug 2010
A far better film than the original, even if it lacks the trashy sleaze of that version. Whilst the violence has been ramped up, I still find the original more harrowing (in its fully uncut form).
It's an impressively shot made film, without being overly slick or polished.
Great acting (good to see Tony Goldwyn again), cinematography and score.
It's a rough trip but one worth taking.
